The idea of the disc golf game and the subsequent Disc golf rules is gaining momentum, especially, among players who engage in the sport for purely recreational pursuits. The basic tenet about the game is to throw the disc making sure to have the lowest score to win, sounds ironical? But, yes, every time the disc is driven away with your hands you earn a point, when you get a penalty, a point is also earned. So basically, without cheating, you must make sure that no penalty is earned to have the lowest score to win the game. The basic rules of the disc golf game are easy to grasp and if you get down to it, you will begin enjoying the game in no time at all.
Rule 1- tee throws
There is always a predetermined space where it is allowable for you to throw the disc. When you are throwing the disc, the Disc golf rules says that the disc must land either behind or within the predetermined space called the tee. The moment the other players are no longer in sight after throwing, you would have caused a penalty.
Rule 2- lie
On the very spot of disc landing, you are then told to either put the mini disc or put the thrown disc upside down as a marker on that spot. The marking should ensure that the turned disc or the mini disc is directly positioned to face the dog leg or what is otherwise called the hole.
Rule 3- order of throwing
As soon as all the players have teed off, the first to throw the disc again is that player who threw the disc further than the rest. The Disc golf rules goes on to say that, when it comes to the hole that will follow, the player to throw first will be the one who had the least number of throws in the preceding hole.
Rule 4- fairway throws
The player foot must always be near the hole at the lie area to make the fairway throws. Exception is made for the other foot and follow-throughs and run-ups following the release are given an affirmation.
Rule 5- dog leg
Trees and poles put as markers for the golf players and arrow indicated are called dog legs. The dog legs according to the Disc golf rules must be passed according to the fairway throws rule again.
Rule 6- penalties
Honesty is the supreme rule of the disc golf game; your fellow players will be keen to ensure that you remain honest to avoid penalties as the Disc golf rules stipulate.
Slicing the golf ball once is embarrassing. Slicing the golf ball swing after swing is humiliating. Remember the idea of the disc golf game and the subsequent Disc golf rules is gaining momentum,
