Make sure that you have read the part 1 of this article before reading this one. Opt for a time when the carpenter can make the furniture peacefully. For example, avoid the rainy season days. Always go for the slightly middle range stuff even if you are cost conscious because the cheapest is not durable and may lose sheen after a few days.
TV cabinet: Think with a lateral mind. Do not assume that you will always have a TV of particular size. You may want to get a bigger screen in a few years and your cabinet should be big enough for it. In case of a TV cabinet, make sure you keep space for your gaming console, tv tuner box or dth receiver or whatever it is you have. Also keep space for a disc player and all the remotes.
Kitchen cupboards: First make a list of what all you want to keep in your kitchen. Design a cupboard on paper as per your needs. Make sure that all your containers and bottles can fit in there. Keep the cupboard location away from your heating apparatus.
Wardrobes: Get a bigger wardrobe designed than the one you have right now. You may buy more clothes in future and everything should fit in there. A 3-door wardrobe should be good enough. Keep enough shelves for all your accessories.
Shoe racks: Keep the shoe rack thin but tall so that you can fit in more shoes that way. Make the rack with the future in mind. You can never be short of new shoes.
Front door: Make the front door as classy as possible. After all it is the entry to your home. Use the best materials possible and a unique design. You can use glass, stone, wood to design your dream door.
Keep browsing as many interior design magazines as you can because they really give a very good idea about what you can expect and what's good in the market. Just be patient and you will get the right results.
